There are trading fees, but they're usually pretty low, like a percentage of the trade. And the person who creates the offer usually pays them, not always the buyer.

LocalCoinSwap often has a wider range of obscure payment methods than Binance P2P. For pure volume and liquidity, Binance might be better, but for niche payment types, LCS can win.

I'd say LCS gives you more freedom with payment methods, like gift cards or weird local options. Binance P2P is bigger but sometimes more restrictive. Deals vary, you gotta shop around on both.

Does anyone know how their non-custodial wallet works? Is it like a real wallet where I hold my keys or just some fancy marketing term?

It's actual non-custodial, you control your keys. For trades, they use multi-signature escrow, so the funds are secured during the transaction but you're not giving up control of your actual wallet.

You actually have control over your crypto for the most part. They use a smart contract basically to hold funds during a trade until it's complete, but outside of that, it's your keys.

How long do trades usually take on here? Like if I'm buying some USDT with PayPal, is it instant or does it take ages to clear?

It really depends on the trader and the payment method. PayPal can be quick if the seller is online, but bank transfers can take longer. I'd say most are done within an hour or two.

Not instant always. I've had some that were done in 15 mins, others where the seller took a bit to respond. The escrow does hold things until both sides confirm though.
